1. Make sure they eat healthy
Kids need good food to grow right. Try to give them lots of fruits and veggies, whole grains and protein. Dont give them too much junk food or sugary drinks cause it can mess up their health and teeth. But its ok to give treats sometimes, just not everyday.
2. Encourage physical activity
Kids have lots of energy and they should use it. Let your child play outside run around or do sports. Physical activity helps their bones and muscles get strong and keeps their heart healthy. It also helps them sleep better and be happy.
3. Keep up with vaccinations
Vaccines protect kids from bad diseases so dont skip them. Make sure your child get all their shots on time like the doctor says. It might be scary but its important and keeps other kids safe too.
4. Promote good hygiene
Teach your kids to wash their hands lots of times specially before eating and after bathroom. This simple thing stops many sickness. Also tell them to cover their mouth when they cough or sneeze and not share cups or forks with others.
5. Make sure they get enough sleep
Sleep is very important for kids growth and brain. Toddlers need about 12 hours and bigger kids need 9-11 hours every night. Keep bedtime same everyday and dont let them use phones or watch tv before sleeping because it makes it hard to sleep.
6. Limit screen time
Too much time on phones tablets or tv isnt good for kids. It hurts their eyes sleep and social skills. The doctors say kids over 2 years old should watch screens not more than 1 or 2 hours a day.
7. Watch for signs of illness
Parents know their kids best. If you see fever cough rash or if your kid is very tired or cranky dont wait long to see doctor. Early treatment is better.
